“So, what’s the problem? Is my uncle still set on bringing me back?” Allen

“No way, Dad’s given up.” Erika shrugs.

She drinks the tea she was served while standing, then returns the cup to the table.

“Besides, I doubt teaching at the academy will last for a loner like you. Aren’t you more inclined to announce research results by mailing them in?” Erika

“So they finally understand?” Allen

“If you ask me, it’s a fact of life.” Erika

Erika stares down Allen. Suddenly, Charlotte shyly tugs on Allen’s sleeve.

“Why does Allen call someone an uncle, but his sister calls him Dad?” Charlotte

“Oh, I mentioned this, she’s my sister-in-law. We’re not related by blood.” Allen responds as he points at Erika with his chin.

To be honest, Allen and her aren’t similar looking. At best, you could say they share the same black hair color, but Allen is half-white and half-black.

“I lost my parents during my childhood. I was adopted by distant relatives, the Crawford family. Erika is their daughter, she’s the same age as you.” Allen

“Well, that was… I’m sorry about snooping about your past.” Charlotte

“Isn’t it fine? It’s not like I’m trying to hide it.” Allen

“Well, I’m still confused about the situation.” Charlotte

Erika stares at Charlotte in an expression of deep thought.

“So, who is this person? Your girlfriend?” Erika

“Kah!…” Charlotte exclaims as her face turns bright red up to her ears.

She glances between Allen and Erika in turn.

“Well, no! But, uh, umm… that’s not bad-” Charlotte

“Yes, Erika. Don’t be rude.” Allen

“Eh?” Erika

Charlotte looks at Allen as if he had just said something shocking.

“Are you talking about this personality bankrupt person, who is generally seen as a socially unfit but also cunning genius wizard? Charlotte would vomit at the thought. For the sake of her honor, I’ll properly deny it.” Allen while tapping his chest.

“I’m not so sure about that?” Erika

“Was my self-evaluation too perfect?” Allen

Erika chooses to stroke her chin while watching Allen and Charlotte.

“Then, who is she? Why is she with my brother?” Erika

“Well, that is…” Charlotte

The simple answer is that Charlotte is impoverished and needed a job, but Allen rejects that half-truth.

“This is Charlotte Evans, the villainess that fled the neighboring country.” Allen

“Hey, Allen?!” Charlotte

“huh?” Erika

Allen’s brief description only confused Erika. He then gives a longer description, explaining that Charlotte was ousted because of false charges, came to be concealed by Allen, then helping her to learn about enjoying pleasurable things. After the longer explanation, Charlotte looks at Allen with a deeply worried face.

“Is it fine to tell her everything?” Charlotte

“If we don’t be honest with her, she’ll just find out everything herself before long. It’s quicker and easier to be upfront with Erika.” Allen

“But as his sister… I’m worried about Allen…” Erika

Charlotte looks worriedly at Erika. After a minute, Erika sighed exaggeratedly.

“Hmm… I thought it would be a silly reason, but it’s not. It’s a big stupid thing.” Erika

“Well, why is it?” Allen

“I’ve decided!” Erika exclaims.

Erika slams down her hand and then points her index finger at Allen.

“It’s not about desserts or hitting things… I need to teach her about feminine happiness!” Erika

“Where did that come from?” Allen
