“Where is Kagura?” Eleanora & Rumba

Triela then explained the route to Kagura for Eleanora and Rumba. It’s getting silly how many times this has been explained. At least this is the quickest version of the explanation.

“Oh! Is that where rice is?” Rumba

Rumba had become fond of donburi dishes, so he was interested in Kagura’s food culture. He’s now asking about food culture in Kagura from Triela.

“Sashimi? They eat raw fish?” Rumba

“That’s right! I was so surprised when they served me red fish meat raw!” Triela

I’m a little worried, but I want to hear more.

“So I now know what kind of country it is, but why do you want to visit, Al? That’s pretty foreign? Is it farther than the trip to the royal capital?” Eleanora

Eleanora listened to the story of Triela and Rumba while frowning.

“So that’s why I’m interested in this country called Kagura. I want to go see it and buy rice directly.” Al

“Well, if I skip, I’ll be skipping a big way. I wouldn’t take a long trip just to skip lessons.” Al

Besides if I skip, I’ll just have to work harder to catch up. It’s only through hard work that I’m able to get away with skipping.

“Ah, that makes sense. As long as I’m here, I won’t let you skip.” Eleanora says with a nod.

If I really tried to skip lessons, I would have to escape to the royal capital by Transferring there. The actual lessons I would want to skip is sword practice. I have to get permission from my parents to go to Kagura, I don’t have to get permission from my sister.

“Hey, why not? They’ll have a B-rank adventurer as a guard. Plus, I can use magic, so it’s fine!” Al

“I know Al defeated goblins with magic on the way to the royal capital, but sea travel is more dangerous than you think.” Nord

Nord recognizes some of my arguments, but he still hasn’t budged. It seems like defeated a few goblins isn’t enough, I wish I had another card to play…

“Hmm? Do you have sufficient escorts for the danger?” Rumba

“Of course I have them. They’re the Silver Wind B-rank party that specializes in escorting merchants. I’ve worked with them several times in the past.” Triela

“Oh, is that Mark’s party?” Rumba

“That’s right, do you know them?” Triela

“Oh! I love those guys, they’re pretty funny, right?” Rumba says as he laughs.

Apparently Triela’s escort party were known to Rumba as his juniors. He’s made me feel more at ease, but Nord hasn’t given permission yet.

“What’s Nord against? I’m fine with them, they have the ability.” Rumba

I was skeptical about the word ‘ability’, but I won’t say anything that might be disadvantageous to me.

“Still, the sea is a fickle thing, Big storms come out of nowhere and there are more troublesome monsters than on the land.” Nord

“Yeah, you have to be careful about those things. You can run into the same things on the land when you aren’t familiar with the area. If you have magical skills at the level of Al, you’ll find it hard to perish?” Rumba

To be honest, even I was in danger of losing my life, I could escape using Transfer magic. With Shield magic or Ice Magic, I could walk across the surface of the sea. When fighting monsters from a ship, if you’re good at magic, you are a force to be reckoned with.

“If you’re so worried, I’ll go along with Al” Rumba

“What are you saying? Rumba?” Nord says as he faces Rumba.

Rumba, is that true? I wouldn’t be worried if he came along. I can’t imagine him being killed by a normal monster, he’d just laugh and find an alternate way to kill it.

“Oh!” Elna

“That sounds great! I’d feel safe if I was going with Rumba!” Al

“As thanks for letting me live in your house and feeding me, I’ll protect you if something comes up!” Rumba says as he gives me a thumbs up.

Wow, I didn’t expect Rumba to be such a reliable friend. I’m glad I let Rumba stay in my house.

“Wouldn’t it be fine if Rumba goes along? It’s unusual for Al to act so excited.” Elna

“Hmm, is it fine if Rumba comes along?” Nord

Alright! My parents became more positive as Rumba agreed to accompany me. Rumba seems to have a lot of respect, he said he led an adventurer party once upon a time.

Should I start worrying about my mother? It seems she’s not looking positive, did she want me to stick around the mansion for a while? I thought all human beings would want to explore new and interesting places? I’m fascinated by the country of Kagura, is Elna worried about something?

Nord and Elna have a private conversation for a minute, then Nord gives a good response.

“Ok, if Rumba goes along on the trip.” Nord

“Yeah!” Rumba

I jump up from the sofa and raise my arms.

“Thank you Rumba!” Al

“Leave it to me!” Rumba

I ran over to Rumba, who picked me up and put me on his shoulders. Oh, so this is what a 2 meter tall person can see.

“Then, I will go too!” Eleanora

While I was enjoying the view, Eleanora stood up with a dissatisfied declaration. It would be a safer if Eleanora came along, but that was overkill. If possible, please refrain from accompanying me so I can enjoy sightseeing in Kagura. I want a peaceful time over there.

“No, Eleanora is going to the royal capital to practice with the Knights. You’ve already accepted their offer, you shouldn’t be rude to Leila who made the offer.” Nord

Nord quickly shoots down Eleanora’s attempt to join us. I didn’t realize that she already had prior commitments.

Eleanora will be exploring knighthood in the royal capital, though I thought that couldn’t happen until next year? However if she’s been invited to practice with them, that means she’s caught someone’s attention. I’ve seen knight-like people visit the mansion in the past to practice with her, was that some sort of evaluation?

“Ugh! That’s right…” Eleanora

Eleanora has lost her chance to come along and looks disappointed. The lessons organized by Ms. Leila are in the future, so she had to prioritize them. It’s about her future. Have you been in a strange mood recently because of that?

The outcome is that I can sightsee peacefully with Rumba. I immediately went to my room to begin packing my luggage for Kagura.
